- Mana
- {3}{R}{R} at most
Prerequisites
You control a creature that can attack this turn and that cannot be blocked or killed by an opponent.
Steps
- Cast Sozin's Comet either from your hand by paying {3}{R}{R} or from exile for its foretell cost by paying {2}{R}.
- Declare a creature as an attacker, triggering its firebending ability, adding {R}{R}{R}{R}{R}.
- Move to your postcombat main phase. You will not lose the mana due to Ozai.
- Activate Aggravated Assault by paying {3}{R}{R}, causing you to untap all creatures you control and to get an additional combat and main phase after this one.
- Repeat from step 2.
How to execute this combo
The "Sozin's Comet + Aggravated Assault + Ozai, the Phoenix King" combo takes 5 steps in order. Make sure you have the mana open and permanents listed in the prerequisites before you start — opponents can respond between steps.
The end result: Infinite combat phases, Infinite red mana, Infinite untap of creatures you control, Infinite mana creatures you control can produce.
Practice the line offline: lay out the cards, walk through each step, and note where you can lose the combo (summoning sickness, lack of priority, removal on a key permanent). In game, announce each step clearly; in casual play you can offer to shortcut after demonstrating the loop.
The best window is a turn when opponents are tapped out or after they commit a spell — hold protection (a counter, Vexing Shusher) if the combo wins on the spot.
