Steps
- Give Cacophodon indestructible, if needed.
- Activate the permanent that can deal damage by tapping it, dealing 1 damage to Cacophodon, triggering Cacophodon twice.
- Resolve the first Cacophodon trigger, untapping the permanent that deals damage.
- Holding priority, activate the permanent by tapping it, dealing 1 damage to any target.
- Resolve the second Cacophodon trigger, untapping the permanent.
- Repeat from step 2.
