Steps
- Activate The World Tree's second ability by paying {W}{W}{U}{U}{U}{B}{B}{R}{R}{G}{G}, tapping and sacrificing it, searching your library for Purphoros, if needed, and every other God and/or creature with changeling in your library and put them onto the battlefield.
- When the Gods enter the battlefield, Purphoros triggers for each God that entered except itself, if applicable.
- Resolve all Purphoros triggers, dealing damage to each opponent equal to twice the number of Gods that entered the battlefield.
How to execute this combo
The "The World Tree + Purphoros, God of the Forge" combo takes 3 steps in order. Make sure you have the mana open and permanents listed in the prerequisites before you start — opponents can respond between steps.
The end result: Near-infinite damage.
Practice the line offline: lay out the cards, walk through each step, and note where you can lose the combo (summoning sickness, lack of priority, removal on a key permanent). In game, announce each step clearly; in casual play you can offer to shortcut after demonstrating the loop.
The best window is a turn when opponents are tapped out or after they commit a spell — hold protection (a counter, Vexing Shusher) if the combo wins on the spot.
