Resourceful Defense + Delaying Shield

1. At the beginning of your upkeep, Delaying Shield triggers.
2. Holding priority, if Delaying Shield has any delay counters on it, activate Resourceful Defense by paying {4}{W}, moving the delay counters from Delaying Shield onto Resourceful Defense.
3. Resolve the Delaying Shield trigger, doing nothing.
4. While Delaying Shield is on the battlefield, all damage that would be dealt to you is replaced by putting that many counters on Delaying Shield instead.
5. Repeat each turn as necessary.
